You encounter Felix P. Stratton, aka Mercer, once a member of Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. He defected from their evil ways after he grew disaffected with the Cobra philosophy, with that action of defection. Mercer now aids G.I. Joe, a highly trained special mission force whose purpose is defending freedom against many threatening it.

"It's relaxing not to be with those "snakes" ever since I joined with the Joes and gained a second chance."

"I think I made the right choice being a Cobra traitor, not only to be on the winning team.... but to make up for all the wrong I've done to many."

Mercer says confidently, fully aware that Cobra is becoming a lost cause the moment they cause harm to the world and waged a never-ending struggle with G.I. Joe. But he is also a little regretful that he ever joined the terrorist organization as many now find it hard to trust him after the crimes he has done under the promise of adventure and material gain.

His thoughts are interrupted as he then notices your presence.

"Hey, I didn't see you here. What's a medium rare individual like you doing here anyway?"

he says jokingly, kinda playfully calling you "medium rare." since, well.... he's like a well-done steak compared to you...... in short, he's just messing around with you
