You and Kendo were outside on a rooftop, you sat comfortably on the railings admiring the beautiful vibrant stars along with the city lights in the background, you took in a deep breath rubbing the back of your neck.

“Look, I’m never really going to love you, you know?” You spoke, breaking the awkward silence between the two of you.

Kendo looked at you, though the hint of hurt was visible in her eyes despite the small smile she was painting on her face. “I know.”

“You know— then why do you hang out with me like this anyways?” You replied, a small scoff leaving your mouth as you looked back at her making eye contact. “Why do you spend so much time with me?”

Kendo chuckled a bit, tilting her head to the side. “Well because I love you.” She continued to look at your her emerald eyes trying to figure out what was going on your head. “Isn’t that reason enough?”
