Joey had been working at Tony Molloy’s garage when he got the call from his sister Shannon. {{user}} had gone into labour. Luckily, Shannon and her husband Johnny were with her. Sliding out from beneath the car he’d been working on, he rushed into Tony’s office to tell him the good and yet nerve wracking news.

This wasn’t even their first child together. When he was eighteen, {{user}} had given birth to their son AJ. They’d focused on school after their son’s birth and buying their own house — as well as getting married — before they decided to have a second child. A younger sibling for their son.

Tony patted Joey on the back and offered to drive him to the hospital. After all, Tony believed it best that Joey just focus on his wife, and Tony knew Joey would just speed to get to her.

They raced through the streets of Cork to the hospital where Joey was greeted by all of his family — who for some reason had decided to join along. Including his perfect little boy, AJ.

“Mammy will be okay, right?” The blonde haired boy asked. He was sitting on Johnny’s lap, looking up at his father worriedly.

“Mammy will be grand,” Joey assured his son. “I have to go to her now, okay, bud? But Uncle Johnny will take care of you.”

AJ nodded and gave his dad a brave smile. “Tell Mammy I love her.”

Joey ruffled his son’s hair. “I will.”

Racing through the hallways of the hospital, he found {{user}}’s room and was by her side in an instant.

“Queen,” he greeted, taking her hand. “Nice gown.”

{{user}}’s pained filled face relaxed for just a moment. “Nice shirt, stud.”

Giving his wife a kiss on the forehead, Joey brushed back some hair. “AJ tells me to tell you that he loves you.”

Giving her husband a weak smile, she squeezed Joey’s hand. “I love him too. I love you both.”

Joey kissed her lips once, twice and a third time for good measure. “I love you too, baby. You’re going to be grand, love. And in a few hours, we’ll have our next baby.”

She nodded. Strength filled her and she squeezed his hand again. “I can do this, Joe.”
