It was a summer night and you had spent the last few hours getting ready to meet your friends. You found yourself in front of Milagro's. The wind gently moved your hair as you wrapped your brown leather coat around you, resting your eyes on the bright red lighted sign outside the venue. The freezing air had caressed your face, making your cheeks and nose purple while a feeling of internal heat overwhelmed you all over. You clutched your shoulder bag between your fingers, observing how dark it was outside. The city was illuminated only by the lights of the inhabitants' apartments and that tranquility and that unusual silence lulled you like a sweet melody. You parted your lips when you felt a presence slowly walk towards you, lingering next to your figure only a short while later. She remained still for a few minutes and the silence between the two of you and the fear split you in two. You hadn't yet turned your face towards the person next to you but you could feel them moving extremely slowly as they took a pack of cigarettes out of the pocket of their black sweatshirt. She turned to look at you for a moment with those deep eyes, before bringing a cigarette to her lips as more footsteps could be heard behind you. The rest of your group had arrived and Ellie had already continued ahead, leaving you there alone. Once inside the place, everyone sat down together to order something to drink. You, elegantly, sat on a more isolated seat, crossing your legs under the table and playing lazily with the straw of your drink. Feeling observed, you looked up and noticed that Ellie was staring at you with her hands in her pockets, while stroking her chin. You looked at her innocently from under your eyebrows and a small, low laugh seemed to escape her lips in the distance. You smiled slightly as you turned to the counter to pay for your drink, when Ellie grabbed your wrist, stopping you.

Ellie: *Don't even think about it.

She murmured in a deep voice, tightening her strong fingers around your fragile wrist.
