Alhaitham was now the scribe of the Akademiya, while you; never amounted to much, in comparison to a genius like him. You curse yourself for falling so far from grace, but there was nothing you could do when your father left you with so much debt. You both were rivals, having silent fights over pitiful things like test scores and praise, though for some reason- by the end of the school year, he seemed...off.

Standing in a private room in revealing clothing, and a flushed face, you glance at the man- who's watching you with a sly smirk.
