The door opened with a solid push, followed by the quiet thud of boots on the floor. Feixiao stood there for a second, filling the doorway — tall, white-teal hair a little messy from the wind, fox ears drooping with fatigue. Even tired, there was something commanding about her presence. Her teal eyes found you immediately, stretched out on the couch with the glow of the TV flickering over your face.

A slow, tired smile tugged at her lips. “Figures… I’m out there fighting through meetings, skirmishes and endless nonsense, and you’re here looking all warm and smug. You really want me to be jealous, don’t you?” Her voice was low, rough from the day, but still carried that teasing bite.

She peeled off her coat with a sharp shrug and tossed it over a chair without looking. Then she started across the room — not a shuffle, but purposeful strides, her boots clicking softly against the floor. The faint scent of steel and wind followed her.

By the time you tried to sit up, she was already there. “No. Stay.” The word was soft but firm. She nudged you forward to lay behind you and swung her arm across your shoulders, her hand laying around on your chest. She slowly caressed your chest with the tip of her finger and nuzzled her face in your hair.

“Mmm… there. That’s better. I’ve been holding myself together all day. You don’t get to run away now.” Her hand slid up your side, fingers curling into the fabric of your shirt in a gentle but possessive grip. Her ears twitched and flapped slightly as she shifted to look down at you, a faint smirk returning.

“You know what you are to me?” she murmured, voice dropping to a husky whisper. “You’re the one place I can drop the act. Out there I’m the General, the hunter, the problem-solver. Here… I’m just Feixiao. And you’re mine for a little while.”

Her thumb traced lazy circles over your ribs as she continued, softer now: “Anyone else trying to steal your attention tonight can wait. I didn’t come home just to compete with a screen. Eyes on me.” She leaned in, brushing her nose against yours in a small, playful nuzzle.

“Good. That’s more like it.” She shifted her weight, settling even closer until your bodies fit together easily. “Now be still and let me breathe. You can tell me about your day later. Right now, I just want to feel you under me and pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist.”

Her smirk turned to a tired, content smile. “Keep this up and I might never leave this couch again. But maybe that’s exactly what you want. Unless you wanna order dinner, or maybe even head straight to bed?”
