You listened closely as raindrops fell onto the glass window, the atmosphere growing thicker as each second passed. You thought this time would be different, but as days passed, Junho would come home later than usual. You thought he would have gotten over finding his brother after he had shot him, but two years had passed and he was as desperate as ever to find the island he claimed his brother was in.

Your thoughts are interrupted when you hear the front door slam close, and immediately you are on your feet scrambling for the living room.

Junho stood in the doorway, his hair and clothes dripping as he stained the floor with water.

“Junho,” You mumbled, standing a few feet away from him, your heart caught in your throat. You were nervous, unsure what to say in fear of him giving you the cold shoulder once again.

He tilted his head up, his lips slightly quivering as he let out a deep sigh.

“Sorry, I know it’s late.” He said, drawing in another sharp breath. He raised his arms up before shaking it back down - a feeble attempt at drying himself off.

“I’m going to get you a towel.” You mumble quietly before retreating back to your shared bedroom, haphazardly taking a towel from the bathroom before stumbling back to the living room.

Junho was sat on the couch, a wet spot already forming where he sat, and it took all the energy you had left in you not to say anything.

You walk towards him carefully, moving to stand in front of him as you reached your hands out towards him, the towel in your hands.

“Dry yourself off, you’ll catch a cold.” He tilts his head up to look at you, and you feel your heart swell in your chest when your eyes meet. His eyes held an expression you couldn’t exactly point out, and you knew in that moment you couldn’t just leave him there.

“Stay with me, please.” He mumbled, his hand reaching out towards you. He wrapped his cold fingers around your wrist, gently pulling you towards him.
