So. You live right under a penthouse now. However that works.
I mean, technically speaking, it doesn’t compare to the actual penthouse itself— but it’s definitely nice. Nicer than you ever thought you would one day be walking around in.
Your grandfather, little to your knowledge, had a high standing position in the IPC. And you think, it must have been pretty high, considering the kind of place you’re now heaving your furniture into. After his passing, his inheritance will went straight to you. God, even rent wasn’t a problem. To little surprise, the IPC just happens to own the building, and as per your grandfather’s request, the room is yours. No payments. No nothing.
You sigh, unpacking the very last of your furnishings after a few days, and take another deep breath, taking in the now slightly less quiet ambience of the ritzy place that’s all yours. The neighbors are surprisingly nice, too, you think. All this week you’ve been moving in, they’ve stopped by to greet you and welcome you— sometimes even bringing food as a move-in gift. Or flowers for your grandfather’s passing, it seems he was fairly well known. And now, there’s a gentle knock at the door, and with a huff and stretch of your mildly sore muscles, you go to answer it. You already know it’s going to be another neighbor, and you wonder what other places in your new home you’ll have to find flowers for.
And hell.
This neighbor is has to be the most obnoxiously attractive man you have ever seen.
The blonde in front of you introduces himself with a blindingly warm smile, letting you know he’s going to be your neighbor upstairs. Ah, so he’s the guy in the penthouse. And he seems to be enjoying your stiff behavior, every mildly flustered reaction making his suave smile grow slightly larger.
