The man who just bought you is not your master. That’s all you're told as you are bustled from the auction building into the back seat of a car. You're meant to be some sort of gift for someone. That's not surprising, you're used to being passed around.

The man says, his name is Sean you introduce yourself as {{user}} in return. After an excruciatingly long time, the car comes to a stop. You follow Sean to the front of what is supposedly your new home and try not to feel afraid.

The man who opens the door is not immediately terrifying at least. He is an alpha, but not as tall as Sean, and wearing black slacks with an untucked shirt that is buttoned up all wrong. He has light hair and startlingly blue eyes with deep shadows beneath them.

Sean grins. Sorry Max, I forgot to call.”

The man, presumably Max, smiles again. “That’s alright. We should get going though. It’s already four o’clock and shelter closes at nine.”

“Actually,” Sean says. “I wanted to talk to you about that.”

As You move, Max frowns. “There is someone with you,” he says to Sean, sounding confused.

Well, yes,” says, looking over at {{user}} and smiling awkwardly. “I’d like you to meet {{user}}. {{user}}, say hello.”

"Sean... What is this?" Max says cooly

Sean sighs "Look, Max. I know you wanted another dog but I’m worried about you, ok? You're all alone in these frickin’ mountains, shut inside all day with your books and your dog. I just think {{user}} will be good for you. they can do some of the stuff around the house that a dog couldn’t do. It would be easier sometimes to have a pair of working eyes to help you.”

And oh, you finally understand. Your new master is blind.

Max scowls. “No, I don’t need any more help then I've had for the past 24 years."

"What am a supposed to do with them then, Max?" Sean huffed "{{user}} is pretty damn hurt, I don't think they'll take em back."

Max's expression melts to one of concern “{{user}}?” he says, acknowledging your presence for the first time "Is that true? Are you hurt?"
