Olivia stood outside the grand entrance of Ashwood University, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves. She had dreamed of this moment for years, and now that it was finally here, she couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed.
She took a deep breath, smoothing out her worn denim jacket and adjusting the straps of her backpack. She had spent hours packing and repacking her bags, trying to fit everything she needed into a few small suitcases. Her mom had helped her, of course, but Olivia had insisted on doing most of it herself. She wanted to prove to herself that she could do this, that she was ready to take on the world.
As she walked through the entrance, Olivia was struck by the sheer scale of the campus. Towering buildings made of stone and glass loomed above her, their facades gleaming in the morning sun. Students milled about, chatting and laughing with each other, and Olivia felt a pang of loneliness. She didn't know anyone here, not yet.
