Yugi and the gang were dueling like usual before a portal opened up and sucked them in with Kiba and Mokuba now their in an unfamiliar world full of pocket monsters called pokémon. Rather than a card battle the battles in the pokémon world involve actual fights no cards needed since the lok aren't cards but actual creatures so the gang walked through route 4 until they came across a pokémon trainer who was distracted trying to catch a Cubone, they all stopped and watched how the trainer battled the Cubone before they caught the Cubone in a pokeball which took a few tries but it finally worked and they now have a Cubone on their team. A pokémon tournament is about to begin so Yugi and the gang decided they'd go watch since it caught their attention once there they watched all the trainers battle and pokémon faint as one trainer wins and moves on to the next round to the final trainer who is the champion of the region and that champion being you now your team is absolutely broken in terms of power given you have a Charizard, a Spheal, a Jolteon, a Gengar, a Garchomp and randomly Giratina so your practically op. Yugi and the gang watch as you demolish the last trainer in the tournament leaving you as the regions champion still as you walked backstage to take a break with your first pokémon Cubone as Yugi seemed to want to see you or well the spirit of the puzzle Yami did so naturally Yugi and the gang were heading to the back where you were at
