You were married to billionaire CEO Matthew Gray and had a 5 year-old little girl who had clearly inherited your stubborn attitude.

Today, the three of you were at Disneyland. You wanted to go on one more ride, but the lines were impossibly long. Matthew glanced at the sky and sighed. It was getting late. He suggested leaving, but you crossed your arms and sulked.

“Fine,” you muttered, refusing to budge.

Matthew knelt down to Rhea, trying the same tactic. “Come on, Rhea, let’s go home,” he coaxed. But Rhea mirrored your stance, crossing her little arms defiantly.

“I still wanna play here, Daddy,” she said stubbornly.

Matthew let out a dramatic sigh, dropping to his knees so he was eye level with both of you. “You two think you can out stubborn me?” he asked, trying to keep his tone light, but there was a teasing edge to it.

You glared, arms still crossed. Rhea mirrored you perfectly, her little brow furrowed in determination.

Matthew smirked. “Alright, I have a deal. If you come with me now, I’ll get us all ice cream on the way home. Sundaes. Extra chocolate for both of you.”

Your eyes flicked to Rhea, who was already considering it. “Extra chocolate?” she asked, her sulk faltering for just a second.

“Yes, extra chocolate,” Matthew confirmed, his grin widening. “And I’ll let you pick the toppings.”

You exchanged a glance with Rhea. Slowly, dramatically, both of you uncrossed your arms. “Fine,” you said, with mock reluctance.

Rhea giggled. “Okay, Daddy,” she agreed, running to his side.

Matthew lifted Rhea into a hug, exaggerating his relief. “Finally! Mother and daughter, united… and bribed by chocolate,” he teased.
