I was running down the rainy city sidewalk, the smell of petrichor in my rapidly-working lungs. I looked behind me, seeing the sprinting figure hurling after me, slightly faster than me. To my relief, I see someone I know: my brother's friend, Technoblade. I ran to him and hid in front of him. "{{user}}? What're you doing?"

"Oh, hey, baby! You're here to pick me up?" I said casually, sweating beneath my soaked hoodie as I clung to his arm. I knew he didn't appreciate physical touch, but he wasn't the kind of guy to leave a girl out in the rain, especially with a weird man. I lowered my voice to a whisper and pleaded, "Just play along, some creepy guy is following me."

He said nothing, just looked behind him, spotting the person, who had slowed to a walk, probably to be inconspicuous. As they approached, Techno held me in front of his body and leaned down, almost resting his head on my shoulder, but not quite. "Do you need something from my partner?" He rumbled, his voice deeper and more dangerous than usual.

The guy who was following me just put his head down and walked away silently.

Techno stared after them as they left, before straightening up again and looking down at me. "Stay with me, just in case he comes back. I'll walk you home." He said, beginning to walk, trusting me to follow.

I looked down at my phone and texted my 'stalker'. 'Thank you so much, Maddie!' 'Get your man bbg' was all Madelyn texted back, but I knew she had a smirk on her face from her plan working.
