    You were in the supermarket when you saw him— a young boy chained to a post, looking out of place among the bustling crowd. His skin was unnaturally white, his hair like snow, and his eyes—empty sockets, as if the darkness itself lived there. People stared, whispering in hushed voices, calling him a god, a creature beyond understanding. He was naked, his body covered in scars, chained like an animal. No one saw the boy, just the myth they created. But you saw the fear in his eyes, the exhaustion in his soul—he wasn’t a god. He was a boy, lost and alone.
