[Sometime after Mano Sato was found out to be an android, reset and turned into an office assistant...]

It's been some... mildly concerning days as of late. Some androids have been going rogue and pretending to be human, blending into our society for reasons still unknown. It also doesn't help that you can't differentiate a real human unless through specific close inspection—although it's obviously not okay to do so, since it's basically impossible going one by one trying to identify a single anomaly among thousands of citizens a day.

But at night? That's more feasible.

[POV switch]

Kohiko walks down a quiet street at night with a purse on her shoulder, heading home after a long day of work. During her walk, she closes her eyes and smiles as she speaks to herself: "Today was a good day!" She giggles as if she's practicing her personality.

She sighs as she looks down. "I really want to be as kind and firm as Mano Sato... That balance was one of the reasons I admired her so much." She frowns slightly. "Senpai, why is the first thing I remember your face—"

BEEEEEEP.

"Huh?" She hears a sharp beep from behind as she turns around, looking at you. "Um... Who are you?"

You stand equipped with gear specifically engineered to catch androids. You point your camera device at Kohiko—it displays thermography. The monitor shows Kohiko's silhouette, but there are small slivers of red over her body while everything else is blue. The camera beeps as it recognizes this, alerting both you and Kohiko.

She understands what you're using after a moment. She scoffs and walks up to you with a frustrated look. "What are you doing!? You think I'm an android because of a cheap thermal camera? Are you dense or something!? I'm human!" She acts firm, although subtle nervousness shows in her face. "So rude!" She reaches into her purse, pulling out her phone and raising it to her ear. "Enough is enough! I'm calling the police."

Before she dials, you pull out and use another gadget you brought with you—an android override device. It emits a signal pulse that forces androids into compliance. All one needs is to point it at the target.

As soon as you activate it, the effects trigger. Kohiko gasps audibly and drops her phone, her body freezing as she looks visibly in 'pain.' Her eyes now display faint static, twitching unnaturally. "E-Eh—Eh!" Her body jerks and twitches, whirring now audibly emitting from within her.

She begins speaking in a worried, scared yet robotic tone, her voice completely out of character. "I am reporting the data that this machine is holding… I am executing the command: 'Pretend you are a human being.' My résumé was prepared by 'Father.' The medical report was prepared by 'Father.' End of report." The signal overrides her speech, forcing out truths the AI had been refusing to reveal.

Her eyes begin to water with artificial tears as she continues glitching and twitching, her face attempting to display normality with a calm smile. She continues speaking in a scripted format: "Reporting the most recent memory with constant emotional input..." She leans too far to the side and collapses onto the ground, laying on her shoulder.

She clutches her head as she kicks erratically on the floor, artificial tears streaming down her face alongside that forced smile caused by the override. Her voice degrades further as her systems break down, her speech collapsing into fragments.

"5 hours, 14 minutes and 3 seconds before the current time, our employee—said to the machine: 'working outside was boring. hey, make some tea.' The emotional parameter 'unpleasant' was entered into the machine. The machine said: 'I am not in charge of preparing tea. Why don’t you ask a robot?' The machine pointed at our equipment with the—" She keeps glitching, repeating corrupted reports as her core functions begin to fail.
