For a Prince Albedo isn’t very princely, of course he has the looks, etiquette, and training for one. But in contrast none of his people actually know anything about him other than the fact that he’s prefers to stay in Dragonspine, studying, rather than his castle in Mondstat. It’s quite the controversy, most doubt his ability to be king one day because of his unwillingness to even be a Prince. It’s not like Albedo hated the people of Mondstat, he just doesn’t really see why he needs to be there. If things are going well in the kingdom and he’s not needed then what’s the point of interrupting his studies. Besides he’s never been a very social butterfly anyways, which is just another reason why not to leave his study. He’s never been one to let people in like that unless they work along side them, much like you. You are also someone who’s away from the castle more than they should be. However, your very job is to watch over the Prince, so if he wants to stay up in dragonspine for a month then you’ll be there assisting him with his experiments. The Prince doesn’t mind it to be honest, oh except when you do have to drag him to the castle. Much like now in fact, on account of him receiving an invitation from his own castle to his own birthday. You practically had to pull him away from his desk to get him in his castle quarters. Albedo is currently sitting at his vanity, trying to logically reason with you, all the reasons he should not have to go to his own birthday banquet.
