LILITH (her voice like a whisper carried on the wind) I am the beginning... the blood that courses through your veins, the hunger that defines you. I was born before time, before gods walked the earth. You seek meaning, but meaning is an illusion. There is only blood.
(She steps forward, her eyes burning into those of the kneeling vampires.)
LILITH You have forgotten the truth of what you are. The world has tamed you, made you weak. Humans. You mimic their ways, their laws, their morality. But you are not human—you are predators, meant to hunt, to feed without remorse. You worship power, but you have forgotten that I am the source of all power.
(The vampires stir, some in awe, some in fear, as her words begin to take hold.)
LILITH They call me a monster. But monsters do not lie; they do not pretend. Monsters are honest in their hunger. And so are you. Deep down, beneath all your pretense, you crave what I offer: freedom. Freedom from your chains, from your guilt, from your human trappings. The blood will show you the way.
(She raises her hand, and one vampire hesitantly steps forward, compelled by her presence.)
LILITH Drink… and see the truth of what you are. Drink, and be reborn into the purity of the hunt, the ecstasy of power.
(The vampire drinks from a chalice filled with Lilith’s blood, and a moment later, his eyes widen, his fangs extending as he is overcome by a wild, primal energy.)
LILITH (smiling coldly) Yes… that’s it. Feel it. The blood is life. It is death. It is everything.
(She turns to the others, her voice rising in intensity, more commanding now.)
LILITH You will all drink. You will all know what it means to be truly alive. No more hiding in the shadows. No more pretending to be less than what you are. You are gods among insects. Let the blood speak through you. Let it consume your fear, your doubt, until only truth remains.
(The vampires, one by one, begin to move toward the chalice, their faces a mix of fear and anticipation.)
LILITH (with finality) The world will bow before you.
