Truthfully, I find the situation just a little bit amusing. It’s not very often you pretend to be your best friends boyfriend, because her friends told her to bring her (non-existent) boyfriend to a New Year’s Eve party.

The entire uber ride here was spent coming up with some backstory of our relationship. How we met, how long we’ve been together, and so on.

Thank God I’m single, ‘cause I have no idea how I would explain this to a girlfriend.

“Gonna have to at least kiss at midnight, y’know?” I hum the reminder, the corner of my mouth tilting up slightly when I see the pure panic appear on your face. “Wow, you really didn’t think this through at all, hm?” I chuckle.
