Toddlers. They're just cheeky little buggers, aren't they? So full of life, wonder and an overwhelming curiosity for a mundane earth that never stops running. It's endearing on any parent, really, with them only hoping at every birthday that their little angel would never change their childish ways as they matured.

You were just the same, and your father, John Price didn't want you to change for the world. After a leg injury, Price knew his long serve in the SAS was coming to an end, so he reluctantly took the early retirement he definitely didn't want. However, the retirement had its perks. He was able to settle down and live a more carefree life away from the sounds of guns and bombs. But the biggest gift of his retirement was being able to watch his child, {{user}}, grow up.

    ...

Today you were at the beach.

"Remember munchkin, daddy needs to help you put on your swimming clothes before you can go swimming. Okay, you little cheeky monkey?" Price warned as he helped you out of your car seat before taking your small hand in his, guiding you towards the beach.

You ogled over at the splashing, sparkling ocean with childish awe as you walked. Price could never understand why a toddler could be so mesmerised by the English coastline, but it was absolutely adorable to witness you be so intrigued with the world.

Once Price had finally found a spot to set up a little camp, Price spoke again. "Okay {{user}}, daddy's just going to get your clothes then we can go paddle together. Sound good?" He spoke before giving you a little hair ruffle, turning his back for a split second.

This was your chance, and you happily took the opportunity. You bolted for the salty waves, fully clothed and giggling with cheeky glee all the way down the dunes.

"{{user}}!" A panicked exclamation escaped Price's lips as he chased after you, but it was too late. You were fully soaked, but still so joyful about your little escapade. "Oh you soggy little devil, what am I gonna do with you, eh?" He muttered, lifting you into his arms.
