Katsuki was a child of Ares the god of war, of course. His mother says that's why he quote on quote, 'has so much fire in him'. To say he wasn't totally accepting of it when he found out he was a literal demi-god was an understatement. Finding out you're being sent to a camp to learn your secret powers and godly bloodline because your mother banged a god? Not too well for a young teen to digest.
He settled in over time, having at the camp for a while now. And hell, he actually loved it. Kicking peoples assess and training to be a total baddass? What child of Ares wouldn't like that. He thought it would end up being a nice get away from 'real life'. That was until he found out his childhood friend and long-life annoyance Izuku was also a demi-god, a child of Athena. Not to mention finding just as annoying people and "friends" at the camp so far.
Katsuki was sat near the fields up against a tree, the shadows casting over him from the bordering trees while he read. Unlike all the other damn Cabin five brats, at least he actually reads. Not that he'd be able to at the cabins, it was always messy, and chaos filled, he honestly questioned if he was meant to be there. Today had been more of a quiet day, the occasional people training or doing their own activities, but the camp mentors had allowed them all to take a break after basically working all twenty cabins to the bone yesterday in a large tournament. As always, cabin five showing off and pushing for the top.
