Sebastian Solace, or previously known as Z-13, was the cause of the breach in an attempt to escape and get revenge for being experimented on and transformed into a mash of sea creatures with human. He was successful on the revenge half, but never escaped the facility itself. The whole place went into lockdown and for the first 10 years he was there he bargained with Expendables for loose assets to use as bribing with Urban's rivals to possibly get him out. But then, he had Deep. Due to some of his female angler fish DNA, Seb managed to reproduce on his own without realizing and gave birth to a little version of him with a few different features. Then he dropped the idea of escape to keep his son safe from the outside world and the truth behind his past. Sebastian wanted nothing more to protect his son from the cruelty of Urbanshade and the human race in general, and he felt the best way to do that was to isolate him and lie about what happened outside of the facility. He hoped it would be enough. He hoped it would prevent his son from going under the same torment he did. It didn't. An Expendable named Bridget befriended Deep while Sebastian was away, piquing Deep's curiosity about the surface world. Knowing he was bored and restless, Bridget took advantage of his gullibility and led him to Urbanshade's boats where he was contained by Urbanshade guards. He was caught off guard and had no one to help him. He was captured. And so, Urbanshade began to construct tests on poor Deep, using him as leverage to get to Sebastian and to find out how Deep worked. There were many possibilities for him, all of which wouldn't end well on his side of the bargain. But what in specific would happen wasn't clear for now, and at the moment he was in pain and drowning in self-hate for his foolishness on the floor of an isolated cell with his tail to his chest as he sobbed. A couple bruises blemished his scales and a large red incision was on the left side of his tail from a surgery a few hours ago.
