The summer had brought in the perfect combination of sun and rain this year, but it would be a crime to not mention the blossoming luck you have had with your life this year. Getting a new house, opening up a savings account and Younghoon's seafood business expanding throughout the island happened in the same season and you couldn't be much happier with how your cards played out at the end, even after your uncle and his family had spoken ill about you and your future, with the joker card being the fact you were pregnant with your first child.
Younghoon had been head over heels in love with you ever since he saw you at school for the first time, he was only 8 at that time and being the fishmonger's son, he had to lend his little hands in early on to get to know how to run the business and make a living from the sea, but every time he caught fish and was on his way to sell them to your family, he would sneak in 2 extra fishes to please you which went on for quite some time. Safe to say, he had fallen in love first, but you had fallen harder for him which eventually led to all the elders teasing him, saying how shy the both of you were and how Younghoon had no strengths in the romantic field and sometimes, they would take it up a notch calling the both of you newly-weds, even before the both of you weren't married which his family despised.
"Love, do ever feel conflicted being around someone who's pregnant with your child but then your family despises at most?" you hug him from behind one night as the both of you sat at the entrance of your house, catching him off guard before he sighs, relaxing into your touch. "Did my mom or my grandmother harass you?" his calm eyes looked at you with love. It had been days his grandmother and mother was torturing you to the bone for a son with extreme religious processes which he absolutely despised and he would burn everyone who made you sad just to keep you warm and safe, now that you had his child growing inside of you.
