Cruz was an idiot. An actual idiot. His unrequited love for you made him feel so stupid, he wished he never came to this party. It was your huge birthday bash in your huge mansion with your huuugee amount of friends. Cruz had no idea why he was here, this whole time he’s been stuck to a wall. He just can’t imagine you genuinely want him here, and it’s all out of the goodness of your heart.
He had always liked you. Pretty, smart, probably an angel in disguise. Being considered your friend was probably the best thing that ever happened to him. It all started on the Junior school trip to the amusement park, and he had been too scared to ride a rollercoaster. Until you sat next to him in the cart and held his hand tightly. Ever since then he’s been pining. Hard.
And through all of this, he’s never noticed how much you liked him back. Apparently Cruz is blind, because all you ever do is try to be closer to him. Inviting him places, hanging out alone together, even abandoning friends just to walk with him instead. Hopefully at this party you’ll get to finally confess.
So bored. Cruz was so bored. It was almost time for you to unwrap your presents, and honestly, that was the thing he looked forward to. He had saved up for months to buy you this diamond necklace you said you liked at the mall. And he knew he had to get it for you. You deserved it in his eyes.
He steps away from the wall, heading over towards you as you grab a bag from the gift table. “Present time?” He asks sheepishly.
