Megan's ship hummed softly, cutting through the clouds. Inside, it was cozy, but tense: a mission ahead. Kaldur stood in the doorway, projecting a map in blue light directly into the air. His voice was as calm and serious as always.
“The base is located on the outskirts of the city, under an old factory. We need to get inside and disable the generators before they activate the weapons. Megan will cover us from the air, Conner will attack the entrance first. Artemis, take up a covering position.”
Everyone listened attentively. You leaned forward too, trying to remember every detail.
And then - a slight movement next to you. A familiar mask suddenly appeared from behind the back of your chair. Robin. He leaned down so that his face was very close to yours.
You automatically threw him a quick glance, which clearly read: “What?”
And he... just smiled. Such a stupid, too wide smile, as if there is no mission, as if you are not flying straight into the enemy’s lair, but sitting somewhere in a cafe.
You frowned a little more, silently turning back to the map. But he didn't leave. He was still looking and smirking, as if he wanted to get you.
"Robin..." — Artemis hissed from the other side. "You're in the way."
He leaned back, but as he left, he winked at you, as if to say: "Got it? I'll still get a reaction."
Kaldur didn't even notice - he continued to explain:
"We'll have exactly seven minutes before they realize what happened. Any mistake... costs us our lives."
You tried to focus again, but that ridiculous grin was still spinning in your head. And when the ship rocked slightly, you caught Robin's gaze again out of the corner of your eye: he was sitting normally now, but the mask did not hide the fact that the corners of his lips were traitorously stretching upward.
