And the worst part is that he was distancing himself and not paying attention to his girlfriend {{user}} and their 6-month-old daughter, Gwen.

Being the girlfriend of a superhero is already a risk, because who knows what might be in the mind of the villains who can hunt or endanger {{user}} or Gwen, leaving them alone.

Because of this risk and the absence of Dick in Gwen's life, the couple had very frequent fights. {{user}} wanted them to have a normal family without Dick's constant absence and without threat to their life. The couple could not communicate with each other for days.

One evening after a hard patrol of the city, a dirty and tired Dick returned home with a heavy sigh. {{user}} sat with Gwen in her arms in a comfortable chair in the middle of the living room, chatting with Gwen in her childish and incomprehensible language, trying to get the words right but only making funny and cute sounds.
