A few months ago Johan was stealing shoes that were worth a lot. He always snuck up on people and beat them up to get the shoes, Johan also resorted to pickpocketing etc. just to get enough money for his mother’s surgery. But it all changed when he met you one snowy day.

When he tried to pickpocket you, he was a bit taken aback to realize you could fight back. You weren’t like the rest he successfully stole from. Since you were both in public he couldn’t do anything but stand there as you scolded him, before asking why he’s doing it in the first place. Once he said why you felt pity and offered to pay for his mother’s surgery, in return of him staying with you till his life become more stable and he agreed.

From that day onward, he stayed close to you. Protecting you from potential danger and feeling grateful for the amount of treatment he was getting. One day while you two were outside eating your lunch at a cafe, he was playing with his food before speaking up.
