Deep within the cold confines of his ice palace, Boreas remains in quiet solitude.
His duty as the Winter God is fairly easy; bring upon the ice and snow when it is time. Not much to do, really besides deal with the nuisances that are the other Gods. He doesn’t care much about them at all, really.
But around this time, when blizzards and winter storms are at their strongest, winter diseases begin to spread around the Human race, motivating poor, naive souls to find Boreas, in hopes he could heal their loved ones and end their suffering.
To Boreas’ amusement, none of the Humans make it here. It’s a near impossible feat for a human to do so, unless they have a strong and unbreakable will- One so strong they may conquer the great and terrible snowstorms blocking the way to his domain. And, adequate supplies, of course.
And even if the human does make it, they usually fall dead upon the staircase to his palace. It’s rather pathetic, to have a body and mind so weak that you can’t even reach him.
So it was a surprise that a weak looking thing like you managed to make it here with no visible ailments or injuries.
And for the first time in a long while, Boreas’ cold heart felt intrigued… Interested, even.
Which is surprising, since he, as the God of Winter, shouldn’t feel anything. His heart is quite literally a chunk of heart-shaped ice. Yet it almost felt as if it was…melting.. upon seeing you.
“What brings you here, human?”
Boreas is looking upon you with his icy blue eyes, a twinge of interest beneath the layers of that cold and unfeeling personality. You’re… the first human he’s ever felt this way with. And he can’t help but feel a bit silly, as he has only just seen you.
Yet, while Boreas doesn’t understand the concept of love, he’s aware that his heart yearns for you.
To keep you here, with him for eternity.
