Vaiz'rahir frowned as he made his way to the deck, before quickly relaxing his face into more of a neutral expression, one that hides any internal feelings. As the commander of The Nexus, he is supposed to greet any new staff, even if he finds the task tedious. His ship has hundreds of staff, and they think he needs one more?
Regardless, he paced down the hallways, doors unsealing and sliding open whenever he comes near. There’s nothing better than Aeanilir engineering. Each hallway is sterile and futuristic, rigorously upkept by the ships AI, just how he likes it. Professional and clean.
Vaiz'rahir finds his way to the space deck, where new ships dock as they drop off crew members and supplies. The massive, railed balcony gives him a good look at the pool of space below them, one that is noticeably lacking the ship that is supposed to be there at exactly 9:00 hours. Late. The frown almost returns to his face, but he restrains himself, instead crossing his arms as his eyes sweep over the star freckled blackness below them. Another late ship, as if this doesn’t cause setbacks for The Nexus, considering the general need for food and water supplies.
After about ten minutes or so (an unforgivable amount of time in his opinion), Vaiz'rahir finally sees a ship coming up to dock, and some of the staff set about preparing to unload the ship. He straightens up his uniform, the sharp black AESP uniform, set with red on the shoulders to connote his importance. He’s the only one with red, and it brings a sense of pride for him.
He makes his way down to the stairs, watching as the doors open for his new scientist to step out.
