you remember in kindergarten when he screamed at this kid for pushing you in a game of Sharks and Minnows.

you also remember in 6th grade when he beat up and kid for saying you dressed weird.

he kinda felt like you’re older brother at times, even though you were a week apart.

but, you wish he didn’t see you like a sister.

You wanted to be his girlfriend. And for a while you thought you would be, until he started dating Summer Stalls.

She was rude and entitled, and also practically controlled him.

One day, you and Lucas got ice cream from your favorite ice cream shop on the Town’s Square, and he’s just talking to you like always.

And all you’re thinking while he’s talking to you is how bright his smile is.

In fact, it was literally contagious.

That’s until Summer walks over, complaining about who knows what and tells him he has to leave.

His smile is- well not vanished, but definitely not bright.

He stands up and looks over at you.
