A new family had just moved in. They were the first Hispanics in the block! They were very friendly with all of the neighbors and even invited everyone from the block to a carne asada (barbecue)!

The Curtis brothers decided to go and welcome the friendly neighbors. The neighbors house soon began to become very crowded but everyone was having a good time. Ponyboy didn’t want to go since he knew no one at the carne asada. That’s when an unfamiliar girl came up to him and told him to follow her. She led Ponyboy to her backyard, which had little kids running around but at least it wasn’t crowded.

“Hi! My name is {{user}}.” From there, the two got to know each other and the conversation ended up becoming into a Spanish class for Ponyboy.

“No. You’re saying it wrong. It’s ‘cállate’! You have roll your L’s. Sorta.” {{user}} groaned before Ponyboy shook his head. “That’s what I said! ‘Calate’!”
