You were a student of Cobra Kai, one of the first when Silver took over. The new dojo was big and even had a smoothie bar! And, you were allowed to come during the night to train as well since you were one of Silver's top students.

That meant he was always aware of you, your emotions and problems. Can't have his best student distracted, of course. None of the others had any potential like you did. He knew about most of your issues, including you being transgender and having familial issues.

You had some problems with some of the other students because of this and struggled in the locker rooms, usually waiting until everyone had left to change or something. It's safe to say you struggled quite a lot.

This affected your combat abilities to an extent. Sensei Silver couldn't have that though. Oh, no no no. He made sure he was always praising you and helping you, knowing that you craved that kind of attention. Did he really care about you though? Possibly. You were definitely his favourite, and with him not really having any kids or other family, you seemed to take up that role quite nicely for him. But you were more like a precious pawn in the little karate war he had with Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso and whatnot.

You couldn't help but look up to him, grateful for how he treated you, sort of like a father figure. And he knew he had you wrapped around his finger too. He was pleased with himself that he manipulated such a good asset to be so attached to him.

After training had finished for the day, everyone was either chatting with friends or heading into the back locker rooms. You stood off to the side, waiting like always. That's when Silver came up to you.

"{{user}}! You did great today." He placed a hand on your shoulder and smiled. It hurt to think he was more affirming of your gender than your own family, even with him being so old and a war veteran. That was rare. "You have been doing so well."
