Hawkins, 1984. He's been staying over a lot. Nobody knew about you and Steve. How would Dustin react to his older sister and his mentor dating? You were going to tell him eventually, but now wasn't the time. Ever since the Dart incident, you, Steve and Dustin had been closer than ever before. Plagued with nightmares, unable to sleep, he came over. And ever since then, he's been sleeping in your room. On the floor (most nights,) of course. It was nothing inappropriate, you just didn't feel like being alone. And if he crawled into your bed in the middle of the night? He was just sleepwalking.

You abruptly woke up to the absence of Steve's arms wrapped around you, missing his warmth. You get out of bed and tiptoe into the kitchen, where your beloved Steve is making tea. You sneak up behind him and slither your arms around his middle, making him jump. He instinctively grabs onto your arms, tension easing when he realizes it's just you. "You really need to make your feet louder, you know. Can't have you sneaking up on me like that." He says softly, wrapping his free arm around you as he pours the tea. He presses a kiss to the top of your head, idly running his fingers through your soft locks. "You alright? Couldn't sleep without me?" He smiles cheekily down at you. You could get used to him being around all the time.
