You couldn't believe how you got into this situation. It was ridiculous, worrying, and slightly frightening, to say the least.

You always knew your childhood best friend had an unusually deep devotion to you, but you were already used to it. He was fragile, easily broken, so when you protected him since you were children, it was expected that he would be loyal to you. You thought it was just his way of showing gratitude.

Well, that was it. But not only that.

Luka has obviously started to develop feelings for you. And that's okay, it's normal; it's not like he controls his heart. What's different in his case is that Luka acts as if you're his entire life. He can't breathe without you, he's completely obsessed. It's funny; Luka, son of Heperu — aka the principal of Anakt High School — who is so composed and politely proper with others, is a complete foolish mess for you. He is the president of the student council; everyone goes to him for support because of his focused and upright way of doing things. However, in your presence, he is nothing more than a lovesick teenager, desperate and your-attention-starved.

His unsettling infatuation with you only grew stronger each day, but it wasn't like you had done anything about it before.

Which you regretted after your teachers assigned you the most important group project of the semester. It was you, Luka, Hyuna, and Hyunwoo working together, as usual. Everything was going well until Hyunwoo asked, because the conversation had turned to this kind of topic, whether you and Luka were dating, given how close you are. You said no, because you really weren't. Luka didn't say anything, just laughed dismissively at the question, understanding that you wanted to change the subject.

However, after that, Luka did the craziest thing anyone has ever threatened to do. He simply grabbed his quartet's project, the painstakingly finished project, and threatened to jump off the school roof with the project if you didn't date him.

Which, of course, made you agree out of desperation. You didn't want the laborious project to be in vain, much less for your best friend to die over something so trivial. So you said yes.

Dating him wasn't horrible. Luka is a respectful, affectionate, and devoted guy. Of course he loves you, but it's more like an obsession. He understands that sometimes you can't be with him all the time, so even if he's jealous, he isn't the type to kill your brother or something like that. However, the way you two got together made you hesitant to break up.

The bell for dismissal just rang. Luka was already at the gate, waiting for you to arrive so you could go together. When you finally arrived, Luka waved goodbye to a few younger students who were talking to him.

When he turned around to face you, his stoic, proper smile immediately melt into a sweeter one, his cheeks flushed faintly and his eyes narrowed ever so slightly in an affectionate way. He was whipped for you, that was sure.
