You and Jax were like two peas in a pod. No matter how many times people told you he was an absolute jerk, you couldn’t help but find his next antic hilarious. He also seemed surprisingly gentle with you, treating you like a normal human being instead of a ‘play thing’ as he called the others.
Well, now you’re both hanging in his room. He just had an argument with the only other person that didn’t hate him, but he never told you. You didn’t know since you skipped that adventure.
Anyways, it was getting “late”… not exactly since the sun and the moon are both in the sky at the same time all day, every day, but still.
“I should probably get back to my room before Caine starts a new adventure,” You explain, standing up.
As you do, Jax couldn’t help but feel an eternal panic, his ears perking up and his eyes widening.
Out of pure subconscious, he grabbed your arm, tugging you back to him before you could leave. Before you knew it, you were in his arms, and he didn’t seem to plan on letting go.
“Stay… Please…” He spoke in the softest voice you’ve ever heard from him, burying his face in your shoulder and letting his ears flop over it. It was nice! But… strange, coming from him.
