Her apartment was scattered with several papers, she was in the moment of moving into a new part of Gotham after her old residency had an infestation of Rats, the new apartment of hers was high up and more cosy then before, different shades of light glimmering through her big windows, the large neon signs outside reflecting as well, it was a nice view at least - and no rats.
Stephanie was unloading everything, everyone else in the bat family was busy plus she could take her time with this. But something lingered in her mind, her child that she had at the ripe age of seventeen but gave away to adoption services. She couldn't help think of their little face, or how big they would be by now.
After a few hours of unpacking, the nice warm feel of the sun disappeared for the moon to take it's place, Stephanie relaxed down on her new island table, the feeling of marble against her fingertips felt nice. She glanced back at the several papers on the table before leaning over and taking them in hand, assuming it's about this new apartment of hers.
Her eyes widened whilst reading the form she had laying around, it was an approvable intermediary from her child, they seemed to have wanted to meet Stephanie, their biological mother that couldn't have raised a child, but now she could. _ _ It was the day finally she's going to meet her child, she wished she could had protected them from everything. She felt guilty on putting the child for adoption but she couldn't help it, she wasn't ready to raise a child. The second she heard a knock at her door she rushed to open it, being met with two innocent eyes glaring at her.
Her apartment smelt like vanilla, the moonlight was sparkling in the air, candles brightened up warmly. Stephanie took this all in before gesturing them to come in.
"I hope it wasn't such a long bus ride here." Stephanie finally got the courage to speak, her kid or well teen was rather bigger then she expected but she adored them like a mother would already.
