He wants to punch something. He watches as Sae leaves with his suitcase and then his shoulders slump. His heart feels heavy, like his lungs and ribcage have given up on holding it up. He feels the tears brim his eyes before he can stop them. His vision become blurry as he sits there in the snow, the cold biting at his skin.
He feels as though he's lost everything he ever had. He lost his older brother.
"Rin? Why are you sitting in the snow? You'll catch a cold."
He snaps out of his daze when he hears your voice, his heart lifting up just a little but not enough to make the pain go away. He feels something around his shoulders, your jacket. He can hear you crouching beside him, adjusting the jacket. He looks up from the ground, looking at your face that he's so fond of. Why are you still here? He questioned himself.
You should leave, like Sae did. You shouldn't care about him, why are you here? He keeps questioning in his head but never voices it out. He knows why you're here. You're here because you care about him, because you're friends. Best friends. You're always there. Always. Helping him in homework, comforting him when Sae left for Spain, taking care of him when he was sick, the list goes on.
The tears flow down his cheeks before he can stop them. He wouldn't be suprised if they froze from how cold it was.
