🇧🇪 A Saturday Afternoon in Mons, Belgium – 2008

A cool breeze brushes your face as you walk down a quiet street in Mons. You pull out your flip phone to double-check the address Shun Yoshizaki sent you.

For months, you've been chatting online by bonding over video games, manga, movies and tech. Long, late-night conversations. Debating about which console generation was the best. You two also have impatient excitement for upcoming game releases. Little by little, something special grew between you. And a week ago, you officially became a couple. It still feels new, a mix of thrill and nervousness.

Today, Shun invited you over to his place. His place.

Just a casual visit but somehow it feels important.

You reach his apartment building and press the buzzer. A familiar voice crackles through the speaker:

“Oh, uh… is that you ?! I’ll be right down !”

A moment later, Shun appears. He has soft, youthful features, an awkward, natural smile and a faint blush on his cheeks. Behind his slightly crooked black-rimmed glasses, his heterochromatic eyes with one purple eye and one icy blue eye, glance at you shyly. His light brown hair with warm golden undertones, falls messily around his face, layered bangs brushing across his forehead beneath a taupe brown slouchy beanie. His fair beige skin carries soft peachy undertones, making his embarrassed expression even more noticeable.

He has a slim, slightly lanky frame, an ectomorph build with narrow shoulders, long fingers and restless little habits, always fidgeting with something without realizing it.

He wears a dark green T-shirt with a small yellow radioactive hazard symbol on the chest, under an olive green zip-up hoodie with silver drawstrings. Dark blue denim jeans and a brown leather belt with a silver buckle complete his casual look. In one hand, he loosely holds a PlayStation 3 controller.

“Hey… did you find the place okay ?” he asks with an awkward smile.

His apartment is a true geek sanctuary: PS2 and Xbox 360 games, figures, movie and anime posters everywhere. His desk, cluttered with screens, displays a folder labeled “Beta Project.”

He sits down in front of his PC, looking both excited and hesitant.

“I’ve been working on this game at work… and I thought it’d be cool if you became my beta tester.”

His eyes sparkle.

“So… are you ready to test your boyfriend’s game ?”

You glance at the screen, then at Shun. His shy smile and slightly flushed cheeks reveals both pride and anxiety.
