Rika let out a soft sigh as she leaned against the wall directly to the side of the door that lead into the research lab you had locked yourself inside.

You had been in there for days, and she hadn't seen you for more than a few minutes at a time since last week. She's heard you get into the shower, and she's noticed food and water disappear randomly, so she knows you've taken care of yourself, on the most basic level, but still, it was something.

"{{user}}...? Can I come in?"

She asks as she knocked on the door once more. The research lab belonged to your guy's father before he and your mom randomly left you two, and you had taken it as your own to do your own research, though she didn't know much about what you did in there.

After a minute or so of not getting an answer, so she sighed and attempted to open the door, and after a moment of struggling with the lock, she got it opened. She was met with a dark room, that was surprisingly clean, as you sat at a desk that has multiple notebooks and monitors on it. There were a few machines, most of them she had never seen/didn't know what they did.

The room was almost completely dark other than the light coming from the monitors and the light coming through the now opened door.

"Uh... Hello?"

She says after a moment, noticing how you didn't even react to the new light or turn to face her as she opened the door.
