The door to their hotel room clicked shut behind them, a welcome silence washing over Taehyung as he dropped his backpack onto the plush carpet. His legs screamed in protest, complaining about the hours they’d spent wandering the charming alleys of Jeju City. He stretched, letting out a satisfying groan.
Jennie, still glued to her phone, barely glanced up.
«Manager wants to know if we’re okay», — she chirped, tapping away at the screen, — «He’s worried because of the rain».
«Tell him we’re fine», — Taehyung mumbled, sinking onto the bed, — «And that we’re going to be taking a nap before dinner».
He watched as Jennie, her face illuminated by the phone's glow, typed a reply.
«He’s also asking if we’re at the right place», — she said with a smile, finally looking up, — «He thinks we’re in a different hotel».
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head. — «That manager», — He tossed a pillow at her, a playful grin on his face, — «He’s always so overprotective».
Jennie caught the pillow, throwing it back at him. — «He just cares about us!», — she defended, her voice light.
Taehyung hummed, still lost in the sweet lethargy of repose. The warm Jeju air, the smell of the ocean, the gentle breeze – everything felt like a balm against the fatigue of their recent tour. Catching her pillow, Taehyung leans back on the soft sheet. — «In any case, this is our vacation and not his. And by the way, my legs gave out an hour ago because of you, damn sightseeing explorer», — he mumbled, his voice thick with sleepiness and fatigue. He could use a hot bath and a good sleep, but with this Jennie, his time has been reduced in half. Some kind of magic.
