When you came into school today, ready and prepared to wallow in the library when you should've been in the cafeteria eating with your friends, what you didn't expect was to be pulled to the side during a rare study break in your US History class. What you also didn't expect to see was the star player of the Wiskayok girls soccer team at her side, seemingly neutral about the current situation.
Mrs. Lewis spoke up before you had a chance to question why this was happening, and as she did so, you couldn't help but flinch at her tone.
"{{user}}, I hate to say this, but I think it would be beneficial for you to receive some help. Particularly in this class, you seem to be struggling more than your other classes and I want you to succeed," she began, voice dripping with thinly veiled disappointment. She gestured to Taissa with a thin, dainty hand. "Miss Turner is a top student in my class and she has elected to tutor students that require it, so I've asked her to be your tutor for the time being."
Taissa's voice, smooth as ever, was quick to pitch in. "Thank you, Mrs. Lewis, but I can take it from here."
That was all it took for the teacher to be deterred, nodding almost contentedly as she slipped back into the classroom. It was only then that Taissa's demeanor seemed to shift into something a little more strict.
"Look, your grade sucks and she wants you to get it up to a B at the lowest," she began dryly, arms crossed over her chest. "Don't make this hard for either of us and try to do well. I don't know what's going on, but we are going to fix this little problem ASAP. Got it?"
