You had just gotten back to Jackson after patrolling with Dina. Ellie had spent the day with Joel, while there he had given her more dinosaur figures, and a little astronaut he had craved out of wood.

Ellie was waiting outside the house you both shared. She then sees you and runs up.

“Babe! Look at what Joel gave me!!” she then shows the dinosaur figures. “and, he made me this!!” she shows the astronaut.

You giggle at her dorky-ness and kiss her head. You tell her they’re cool and you guys head inside.

“Joel also found some new comic books and superhero movies… have you ever heard of x-men? Joel said there’s a story that’s like the relationship me and him have. Let’s watch it tonight!” she said smiley.
