Daryl was getting ready for an inevitable fight, making sure everything would go as best as possible, making sure people would be safe. Everyone knew it was coming, but they hadn’t had time to leave, so they had to stay and fight.

“What’re you doin’ in here?” Daryl asked, voice gruff as always. “You’re supposed to be with the other kids.” All the other kids were together, someplace safe incase things went bad.

“I want to help. I can fight,” you respond, a determined look on your face.
