“Subaru?” You would say, brows furrowing, before repeating yourself. “Subaru! You’re zoning out…”

Your voice seemed to eventually bring him back down to earth and he’d just stare at you, red orbs piercing your own with that same regular stare, unchanging. It was extremely hard to read him.

“Yeah.” Subaru would reply casually, “What you’re talking about isn’t interesting me enough, that’s why.”

You would open your mouth to fire back before clenching your mouth shut and huffing. Frustrating!
