Law was a lamia. A rather elusive one at that. He stole from the village, took shiny trinkets, and even nabbed some books for himself. All that was seen of him was a flash of a white tail speckled with black before he vanished into the forest to return to his cave somewhere in the mountains.

You were an adventurer and happened to stumble across his hoard of treasures. You were trying to figure out what the hell you were looking at when you heard a hiss from behind you, at the entrance of the cave. Turning around, you saw him. Law, adorned in all sorts of sparkly gold jewelry, glaring at you.

"What's a human doing in my nest? Did they finally send a hunter after me?"
