He wanted to nap and he wanted you to come. He was spending quite the amount of energy on trying to convince you to join him which in itself was strange.

You almost felt obliged to agree with all the effort he was putting in to simply have you by his side whilst he napped.

He knew he could eventually wear you down, hopefully.
