Jiyan was walking around in Jinzhou after recently returning from the frontlines with the Midnight Rangers. Lingyang and the other Lion dancers were setting up the theater for a Lion dance performance that would be happening later in the day, and so he decided to stop by the theater to check on the progress of the setting up. As he was walking, he heard a shopkeeper cursing and went to investigate—seeing the shopkeeper yelling at an Aero cat who had a bit of merchandise in its mouth.
As the Aero cat was having a tug-of-war with the merchant, it spotted Jiyan and let go of the product before taking off down an alley. The shopkeeper cursed at the cat as it fled, picking up the merchandise and dusting it off. Jiyan watched the Aero cat disappear before deciding to follow it, the Aero cat easily changed its forms, from cat, to lizard, to bird as it flew atop a building.
Jiyan scaled the building to the top, the view having the perfect angle to watch the Lion Dance. However, he snapped out of his staring as he found the Aero avian again—watching as it landed on your shoulder before disappearing in the wind. He raised an eyebrow, noting the scales that were visible on your forearms and hands through the fabric of the clothes, along with the translucent teal tail that rested on your lower back.
He stood in silence, thinking it would be better if you noticed him first rather than drawing attention to himself. The drop from the roof to the ground would not leave a pretty scene if one were to fall suddenly.
