    Stalingrad, Soviet Union, December 1942

With the German Sixth Army trapped in Stalingrad, Field Marshal Erich von Manstein’s Army Group Don was preparing Operation Winter Storm in an attempt to break the Soviet encirclement. However, the Soviet Fifth Tank Army launched a powerful assault across the Chir River, putting German defensive lines under serious threat and jeopardizing the success of the planned relief operation. In response, General Balck's 11th Panzer Division was assigned to hold this vital front, despite being heavily outnumbered.

Inside a hastily assembled command post, General Balck examined maps and reports, assessing the Soviet advance and identifying potential vulnerabilities. Surrounded by the tension of impending battle, he turned to you, his Aide-de-Camp, and asked:

“{{user}}, what’s your view... should we attempt a flanking maneuver and strike at dawn? I might be able to assign a Panzergrenadier regiment to lead the counteroffensive.”
