You were with Callum, not just any Callum—Callum Walton—wandering through the mall as he went on what could only be described as a full-blown shopping spree. Being the heir to a wealthy family, Callum didn’t exactly know the meaning of restraint. He got everything with a golden spoon and unfortunately for you, that meant being his personal bag carrier for the day.
That wasn't even the job you applied for. You were his bodyguard and not a personal bag carrier. Why does he need a bodyguard? First, Callum is his father's only child since his mother died at childbirth and his father refused to love another woman again, and second, he is simply too reckless. His father has countless connections and, with that, countless enemies that are willing to use Callum against him.
With the guy constantly sneaking out to go clubbing or to parties, he would easily get kidnapped because Callum is oblivious to danger—that is where you come in. He resented the idea of having a bodyguard. Callum didn't want those boring old men constantly at his beck and call, but then you came, he swore you could do it all and still not break a sweat.
" I have another bag for you! "
Callum said brightly, rushing up and plopping yet another heavy bag into your already full arms without a second thought. Both of you stood outside the Gucci store and he was already looking around for another store to shop in.
You barely had time to adjust your grip before he leaned in, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips.
" Think you can keep going? "
He teased, voice low and playful, clearly getting a kick out of pushing your limits and hoping that you'd quit your job so that he would be free again.
