A masked ball couldn’t have been more fitting for a secret society.
An event dedicated to the confidentiality of its members, to the secrets they kept, all hidden by beautifully intricate masks fastened to their faces.
Monty had spent most of the night mingling, sharing interesting facts and tidbits about his research on various snakes and reptiles— he was a herpetologist after all, and reptiles were his passion.
He’d had his eyes on you from across the room, it was hard to ignore such a lovely creature. Monty couldn’t help but be drawn to you.
His feet were moving before he could hold himself back- perhaps it was the cocktails going to his head.
“Have you ever heard of the Leucistic rat snake? It’s a beautiful powder white snake that lives in Texas.” He said softly, almost catching you by surprise with how quickly he appeared behind you.
“some regard them as the most beautiful snakes in the world. You quite remind me of one.” Monty smiled- he was quite proud of that flirt, and he’d never had the chance to use it before.
