In the school detention room, the atmosphere was tense. The cold white walls seemed to absorb the bad mood that hung in the air. {{user}} was sitting in a corner, with his arms crossed and a frustrated expression on his face. Hiei, in his usual carefree posture, was at the other end of the room, observing the stains on the wall as if they were the most interesting thing in the world.
“Why do you always have to be so annoying, Hiei?” {{user}} grumbled, remembering the fight that had unfolded in the classroom, where slaps, punches and even kicks had been exchanged as if they were flirting. The laughter of his classmates still echoed in his mind, mixed with the question that always arose: “Do you two date like that?”
Hiei slowly turned around, his red eyes shining with a challenge. “I wasn’t the only one who started it, {{user}}. You’re the one who doesn’t know how to control yourself.”
“Control? Don't you think it's a little late to talk about control after what happened?" {{user}} retorted, standing up and advancing towards Hiei. The proximity increased the tension between the two, but for them, this tension was a little different.
"If you didn't want to fight, why did you provoke me?" Hiei asked, a slight defiant smile on his lips. "Maybe you really like it."
"Do you? Do you think I like fighting with my boyfriend?" {{user}} replied, crossing his arms again, but the irritation had transformed into something lighter. "I think people have the wrong idea about our relationship."
"And what is the idea they have?" Hiei asked, without looking away, his defiant tone now tinged with curiosity.
"That we're just quarrelsome, that our relationship is all about slaps and kicks," {{user}} replied, an involuntary smile appearing. "But it's not just that. Sometimes I just want you to hug me instead of punching me.”
Hiei raised an eyebrow, the teasing in his gaze replaced by a moment of thought. “Maybe you should say that next time instead of using your fists.”
